Greetings, denizens of this strange and wonderful little world! Some techincal matters to attend to.
As a matter of making this democratic, I'd like to see group input on how time ought to pass for us. At present, in my episodes (all two of them!!) I've been working on a 1:1 schedule, where a day in game is a day in reality and so forth. This is probably too slow. Likewise though, we need a steady pace that does not force players to focus on politcal-level RPs exclusively because they have time for those and nothing more--we want GFA2 to be an environment that fosters the creative process, and that means taking the time to develop characters and storylines that don't necessarily have the world's fate hinging upon them. We also want to avoid technological races getting out of control, so a fixed speed calendar is necessary.
SO
I am proposing a vote between the 1 day IRL= 1 day IG
OR
1 month IRL=3 months IG, so we have 3 years IG every year IRL
OR
1 month IRL=2 months IG, so we have 2 years IG every year IRL
I'm calling for the vote to conclude on the 1st of December.

This place they were bound for was not on many maps. In fact, it moved a little, season to season, and though rumors of its existence moved east they did at a rate that, by the time news of its presence worked its way back to the authorities in distant Port Uthen, it was invariably too late. Perhaps, if it was a year where the Buracca tribes sent representatives to Port Uthen and protested of intruders, a destroyer would sally forth or aircraft would run patrols in search of it—on the rare occasion when anythi
The Great Liner's Arrival
By Harold Winchester; 28th December 1940.
Early in the morning of the 27th of December 1940, the glorious Liner, Allurious made her arrival in Bonhaven at around 6 o'clock A.M. Some of the richest Aerahwuts traveled amongst this vessel, and some many immigrants looking for a new home came along as well. We spoke with Captain Cousteau of the Allurious.
"The Allurious broke records," said Captain Cousteau while standing just outside the bridge of the Allurious on the Promenade Deck. "She broke the size record and we've arrived here faster than any ship that has crossed the Great Ocean. The Gold Star Line and I am sure a lot of Aerahwuts are
Misfortune Mechanism Proposal
Hey all! Some slight mod-stuff to attend to here.
When I think back to GFA 1.0 and ANC, it occurs to me that none of us ever had very bad luck, as far as I can tell. Chance had very little to play with things and when shit happened, it was never in a "shit happens" kind of way, you know? Nobody dies unexpectedly, nobody misses their train, nothing.
Combining that notion with the generally quiet nature of GFA 2.0 thus far, and it occurs to me that we need a little more random chance in our lives here. I'm not saying--necessarily, that is--that we need to abruptly have train derailments and volcanic eruptions or plagues, but we need...somethi
